IPM was going to forgo Daytona this year so we could bring you a quality kick-ass annual issue. Can you believe it? It was to good fortune then that my good friend Jonsey got in touch with me recently.

Seems he has a pair tickets for the upcoming AMA Super Bike championship at Laguna Seca and he can’t make the trip from Australia this year. Knowing my rabid, rabid interest in motorcycles, he thought I could use them. With IPM’s blessing of course, this will be my first experience covering this type of event and I’m stoked to immerse myself into the scene.

I’m taking my friend Dave along with me for the two hour drive (Drive?!? -Ed) South to catch the race. I wish my schedule was wider so I could pitch a tent and spend the full weekend by the track, but so be it, I’ll be there on Sunday to catch the main event along with Tony as well. I’ll be sure to bring a camera so I can get the closer to the action. Until then, I’m pretty riveted to experience the pinnacle of performance motorcycle racing.
