As a former sworn law enforcement officer for over 10 years, I can assure you that, once they start asking you questions, the police are not your friends.

They don’t want to help you. They do not receive commendations, promotions, or recognition for high productivity by helping you out. They get those things by arresting you, and gathering evidence for a criminal charge.

There is nothing you can tell them than will help you. The only person who can help you is a defense attorney.

There is a reason that the Miranda Warning says, “any statement you make, oral or written, may be used as evidence against you”. They REALLY mean that.

Trust me.

I totally agree with this advice everyone should stay silent I just wish everyone could afford an attorney especially because prisons are privately owned and in order to profit have to have inmates
