This month, I did quite a lot to the baby Gsxr. First and foremost, I ditched the cheap African fairings and gave the blue ones back to my buddy.

I purchased a full stainless steel Yoshimura RS-3 exhaust with a titanium sleeve, and had it custom mapped at Scuderia West. I also installed a pair of aluminum Sato Racing rearsets.

The integrated undertail from Hotbodies Racing cleaned up the rear nicely but the paint color was a bit off. I also purchased a real carbon fiber shark style cowl from QB Carbon. Nice piece!

Lastly, I put on new frame sliders from LP, some gold dzus fasteners also from LP that I had before, as well as a pair of carbon look mirrors from LP.

Stay tuned!

So, today I received a letter from the parking complex management for the claim I made against them. They basically denied my claim, and gave some lame excuse about not being liable for outside factors that damage my vehicle. I tried to use my limited knowledge of torts to argue premises liability, duties owed, and damages, but to no avail. Man, I’m pissed!!

      Itching to Ride

It’s pretty embarrassing to ride around in a beat up old motorcycle. Let me rephrase. It’s embarrassing to ride around on a new motorcycle with damaged parts.

So a fellow rider of mine threw some old Gsxr fairings my way just so I can get on the road. Yes, it’s blue, but it might not look that bad.

Here is the bike out on a ride earlier today. I also threw on the iridescent blue headlight cover and double bubble windscreen. Not too shabby right?

      Stay tuned!

So I spoke with the security at the parking lot about filing a claim, and got the proper paperwork. I mean, come on, there has to be some sort of premises liability duty owed to me by the complex. Maybe the admin position at the law firm I’m interviewing for could help!

        Stay tuned!

          Vandalized!

So, I still have not come around to rebuilding the little Gsxr but I felt a hankering to ride today. I parked the Gsxr in a parking lot by the new movie theater in Daly City, and try to have a nice lunch at Fudruckers. When I come back an hour later, I find that someone had tried to steal my bike!

Are you kidding me? In the crap condition it is in now, someone still wanted it! The major damage was to the top triple that had been cracked around the ignition.

The idiot or idiots also dropped my bike while trying to steal it (Way to not get noticed, huh?)! Good thing the fairings and such were scuffed up already!

When it rains, it pours eh?
