What’s up guys? Nothing’s changed for 2009. The 848 is still Ducati’s most impressive middleweight Superbike to date. Its exceptional lightweight chassis set-up combined with the smooth and thrilling torque delivery of the L-Twin Desmo provide the ideal way to enter the world of Ducati Superbikes. Check it out!

With a dry weight of just 168kg (369lb) the agile 848 is an amazing 20kg (44lb) lighter and 30% more powerful than its predecessor, enabling the middleweight to deliver impressive performances whether riding through mid-town traffic or racing through track-day competition. These incredible achievements are a fitting reward to Ducati’s ingenuity and a clear result of the continual attention to detail and development of their twin-cylinder technology. Just ask Alex!

Peace!

Like the bigger CBR1000RR, the CBR600RR is proof of how good a sportbike can be. On the track or street, there’s simply no better 600-class bike. Proof? The CBR600RR has five AMA FX titles in a row and six straight World Supersport championships in addition to Best Middleweight Supersport crowns from the industry experts. It’s also the lightest middleweight out there by a pretty fair margin. Weight, performance, horsepower, handling—this MotoGP-bred machine is packed with the features that set Hondas apart.

And now for 2009, the CBR600RR is set to gap the competition even further with the introduction of Combined Anti-Lock Braking, the first ABS system for the Supersport class. Top that with five stunning new color schemes, and watch the competition fold. Check it out!

Hey guys, just wanted to show you another superbike I saw at the Motorcycle Show this year. It is the 2009 Ducati 1198s. Guess they just upped the bike by 100ccs? No, no.

Producing 170hp (125kW) and with a dry weight of just 169kg (372.6lb), the new 1198 S now incorporates more World Superbike technology than ever before by not only putting in the 1198 motor, they added top-of-the-range suspension, lightweight chassis components and a true racing-style traction control system designed for road use. Check it out!

The high performance, fully adjustable 43mm Öhlins forks, which sport low friction titanium nitride-treated fork sliders, respond effortlessly to every imperfection in the tarmac. Beyond their advanced engineering solutions, one of the most important characteristics of Öhlins forks is their ability to communicate the condition and quality of the tire-to-road contact patch, a feature that puts every rider in superior control. The suspension set-up at the rear is complemented with a fully adjustable Öhlins rear shock equipped with a ride enhancing top-out spring and mounted to a single-sided swingarm for outstanding drive and traction. The front-to-rear Öhlins package is completed with a control-enhancing adjustable steering damper.

The frame is an aluminum twin tube delta box, with multi-adjustable steering geometry/wheelbase/ride height. Attached to it is an aluminum swingarm. Ohlins upside down front forks and Ohlins rear shock, all adjustable for pre-load, high and low-speed compression and rebound damping provide the suspension. Front and rear wheels are Marchesinis (wrapped in Michelin, 16.0 front, 16.5 in rear, available as slick, Intermediate and wet tires on Jorge Lorenzo’s YZR-M1) wrapped in Bridgestone, 16.5 front, 16.5 in rear, available as slick, Intermediate and wet tires. Oh man! I was never a fan of the Hayabusa until I saw this white one at the show! I hope we can pimp one out IPM-style next year. I so want this for my staff bike! Maybe we can do a Kawasaki Zx-14 vs. a Suzuki Hayabusa! Well, we will see. In the meantime, check it out!
