Hi guys, these are the first images of the Aprilia’s new adventure tourer, snapped earlier today at Piaggio Group’s annual dealer convention in Monte Carlo.

Based on the frame and 130bhp, liquid-cooled V-twin of the Dorsoduro 1200, the Aprilia Caponord 1200 is equipped with much taller suspension, a two-piece seat and low-mount exhaust. Equipped with 17-inch wheels and monster 320mm brake discs, think of this as a tall, comfy sports tourer rather than something that’s ever going to venture off-road.

What’s up people? There was a new AGV helmet on Valentino Rossi’s head at the Sepang MotoGP test.

Rossi has been loyal to the Italian brand for years and has worked closely with the research, development and design team and there’s no doubt that Rossi has had some input into this sleek looking new shell shape.

There was no official word from AGV about the carbon fiber lid, but, since it was free of paint and most of his trademark graphics, you can see the attention to aerodynamic sleek-ness that has been paid to the shape. No doubt at super-humid Sepang the anti-fogging and ventilation elements were given a proper work out.

Interestingly, Rossi alternated between this prototype and his regular AGV.

Hey, what’s going on guys? Here is a Korean movie featuring superbikes that slipped through the cracks last year.

It is about a former motorcycle gang member, Ki-su, who makes a living as a bike messenger. One day he witnesses a building blow up. Never suspecting he could have had anything to do with the bomb, he moves onto his next job―which is escorting a girl group singer, A-rom, an ex-girlfriend from his biker days.

As she puts a proffered helmet on her head, a timer mechanism is triggered and a countdown clock appears. Ki-su gets a call from a stranger telling him to make a series of deliveries within a fixed time limit. When Ki-su completes deliveries, each turns out to be a bomb.

The cast includes Lee Min Ki, Kang Ye Won, Kim In Kwon, Go Chang Suk, and Yoon Je Moon.

“I’m happy because first impressions are important, and already in the first few laps, I could tell that I like the bike. Ducati did a good job in just a short time. The bike is beautiful, but more importantly, it’s nice to ride.”The riding position has improved a lot, and it’s better on braking and corner entry. I can brake like I want to and take the lines that I like, and I feel comfortable in general. I was able to ride well and not make mistakes, and there’s a reason for that. It means that the bike can be ridden. It’s more agile in change of direction, and it wheelies much less.”

Hi guys, BMW design chief David Robb has left the company after a disagreement with a colleague. BMW sources confirmed today that the man credited with transforming the firm had gone.

BMW design has gone from staid and uninspiring to world-beating since Robb took the helm back in 1993.

Under him, BMW has produced such bold and innovative models as the S1000RR, K1200R and F800S, as well the R1200GS, the firm’s biggest ever seller. Before Robb the range consisted almost exclusively of similar-looking tourers and all-rounders with a self-imposed 100bhp limit.

A BMW source said Robb left following a disagreement with another designer. There are suggestions he cleared his desk on the day of the disagreement. He is being replaced by Edgar Heinrich, another long time BMW designer.

What’s up people? The first-ever photos of The Doctor’s GP12 leaked on Twitter and Facebook earlier today by a handful of close followers of the Ducati MotoGP circuits.

Apparently snapped during pre-season testing at Sepang, the aluminum beam frame appears identical to that of Karel Abraham’s bike. The Ducati Desmosedici GP12 has ditched the controversial carbon monocoque.

The Rossi bike is the one being used by satellite teams, while the black one seen below is the actual GP12. The swingarm pivot plates are slightly different.

Hi guys, Ducati has finally started building the hotly-anticipated and all-new 1199 Panigale superbike at the Bologna factory this week.

The Panigale is the all-new 200bhp 1200cc V-twin superbike the firm hopes will revolutionise the class when it’s launched in two weeks’ time in Dubai.

This latest news means the bike is in full production as the Italian firm attempts to meet a massive number of orders from around the world for the bike.

Hundreds of orders for the bike have already been taken with waiting time for the bike expected to mean the bike will sell out for 2012.

Hi guys, Paul here again. Riding on a wave of excellent sellers like the Multistrada and the Diavel, Ducati has cornered North America as its biggest market in 2011.

With an increase of 41%, the North American Market has topped Ducati’s revenue for the first time beating out even the home Italian market.

Will the demand keep Ducati’s flowing across the sea to North America? New special edition models like the Diavel Cromo and AMG are likely to pique interest, but a 1199 Panigale, expected in showrooms by early April, and the ever popular Monster can certainly keep it.

Ducati North America also plans to revamp its image and corporate identity. “Everything needs to be clean and clear, and very accessible… because it’s your passion…” says Ducati North America’s General Manager Dominique Cheraki. He expects 70% of dealers will also make a change in décor to showcase the Ducati products in the new shopping experience.

Hey guys, Jon here again. Yamaha’s 200bhp V-Max is the two-wheeled star of the new Ghost Rider movie due out shortly, replacing the custom Harley-Davidson that featured in the original film.

The sequel, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, stars Nicolas Cage as the motorcycle-riding, spontaneously combusting anti-hero, Johnny Blaze who is still struggling with the curse of being the Devil’s bounty hunter.

This time he’s aboard a V-Max and is recruited by a secret sect to save a young boy from the devil, which could be Blaze’s chance to rid himself of the curse forever.

As with all movie motorcycles, and the nature of some of the stunts, means that in some scenes disguised Kawasaki KX motocross bikes will be used.

What’s up people? Here is the sequel to the Icon original video: Motorcycle vs. Car Drift Battle. Nick ‘Apex’ Brocha is back and this time he brought his Empire teammate, Ernie Vigil.

The two are mounted on a pair of crackling Triumph Speed Triples, built by Roaring Toyz for the sole purpose of going sideways. Over the last year their quest to find the ultimate drifting playground has led them to the rolling hills of High Plains County. Low traffic, perfect asphalt and endless twisties have kept them busy resurfacing roads with their rear tires for weeks. The only problem is the local authorities have had enough. Enter Police Officer Dan Brockett, the only man with the muscle to keep these two in sight. His 550 horsepower Ford Mustang Cobra was built for speed and he’s got a license to use it. Check it out.

Hey, what’s going on guys? Here is the 2012 Kawasaki ER-6f official video. It boasts a sporty new windscreen that is adjustable. Three positions offer a total range of 60 mm. The wind-tunnel designed aerodynamics package contributes to increased comfort. The new bodywork and windscreen offer better wind protection and were designed to minimize head buffeting. Deep grooves at the top of the side fairings are evocative of Kawasaki’s new flagship, the ZZR1400. Large openings in the side fairings help with heat dissipation and contribute to the ER-6f’s sporty looks. Built-in turn signals are more compact, contributing to the sporty image. Slimmer lower cowl contributes to the sharp styling.

The ER-6f Parrallel Twin engine configuration was chosen as the best balance of good power characteristics and compact size. Engine tuning delivered both a rider-friendly character ideal for new riders and performance to put a smile on the faces of more experienced riders.

The engine’s compact size was one of the keys to realizing the ER-6f’s slim package. The 2012 engine offers more low-mid range torque for more fun and greater usability in everyday riding situations, while maintaining the smooth, high-revving character of its predecessor.

Hey guys, Jon here again. Here is Kawasaki’s 2012 ER-6n official video. Like on its predecessor, the all-new double-pipe perimeter-style frame is a key component of the ER-6n’s identity. As before, the new bodywork accentuates the frame, rather than hiding it. Double-pipe design of the new frame, made from high-tensile steel, contributes to the bike’s lightweight appearance. Check it out.

Following the lines of the frame and rear shock, the swingarm also features the new double-pipe design, complementing the design of the frame and contributing to the ER-6n’s high-quality appearance. The swingarm’s gull-arm style design on the right side enables the more aggressive angle of the muffler.

To enable the more compact front area, the instrument cluster was moved as far back as possible. It is mounted above the handlebar. Stacked instrument cluster features an easier-to-read layout. Analogue-style tachometer uses white LED backlights for excellent visibility at night. The multi-function LCD screen has blue backlighting.

In addition to the fuel gauge, digital speedometer, clock, odometer and dual trip meters, new features include: remaining range, average/instant fuel consumption and the Economical Riding Indicator.

Raised tick marks on the tachometer dial face, a bubble lens and elevated instrument frame construction contribute to the instrumentation’s greater legibility as well as a high-quality image.

Hey, what’s going on guys, Jon here again. Here is the brilliantly talented German stunt rider Micha Threin taking the new 162bhp Ducati Diavel sports cruiser into the world of stunt riding.

I know what you guys are thinking: While the Diavel has bags of power and is reasonably lightweight when compared to other cruisers the wheelbase alone is enough to make it seem wildly inappropriate for this sort of riding. Check out out he does.

Threin has been stunt riding for the past seven years and is one of Germany’s best known stunt riders.
