I like that the handle is next to the bike and not behind it. In case you almost drop the bike, you are right there next to it to grab it. Something that almost happened during the filming the above video. LOL!

Anyways guys, stay tuned for more Essential Stuff! Peace…

My Speed Triple has been sitting in the garage for a few months and I foolishly did not hook up the battery to a tender. As you all know, when a battery sits without in a bike without regular use, the juice starts to seep away slowly. Then the battery becomes useless. So, I picked up the Battery Tender Junior for future use. They come in 12 volt and 6 volt versions along with Battery Tender’s other products. I chose the 12 volt version.

The Battery Tender Junior is much more than a trickle charger. It has a brain. I lets you know exactly when it’s done charging and when it’s not charging, all with indicator lights. It’s also lightweight, compact, and fully automatic. It’s very easy to use, especially in small spaces. It will keep your battery fully charged so that it is ready to go when you are!

According to their website, the Battery Tender Junior is:

    * Perfect for all lead-acid, flooded or sealed maintenance free batteries (AGM and gel cell).
* Complete 4-step charging program (Initialization, Bulk Charge, Absorption Mode, Float Mode).
* Automatically switches to float / maintenance voltage after fully charging the battery.
* If the battery voltage drops too far under load, full charger output power resumes.
* Solid state two color LED indicates stage of charger.
* Spark proof.
* Reverse polarity protected.
* 12′ output cord.
* 5 year warranty

I am very happy with the Battery Tender Junior. If you need to charge more than one battery you can always go for the more heavy duty Battery Tender Plus, Power Tender Plus, or the 4 Bank Charger. But at $39.95 retail for the Junior, it’s quite the bargain!
