What’s up people? As the motorcycle market shrinks smaller and smaller here in the states, Suzuki has started to turn their attention elsewhere in the world. The Indian arm of Suzuki said today it plans to more than double production capacity to exploit the country’s fast-growing market for motorcycles.

Hi guys, Jon here again. For those of you fans across the pond, Ducati’s latest promotion to pull potential customers is a free to enter competition to win a tasty Ducati Monster 600 branded Bianchi mountain bike.

Sure, it’s not top of the line, but all you have to do for a chance to win this is to call an authorized Ducati dealer and book a demonstrator ride on any one of Ducati’s huge range of bikes.

On completion of the demo ride, the Ducati dealer will enter your personal details into a draw. Sounds like a way to nab your contact info, but hey, someone’s got to win, right?

The competition runs until end of October 2010 and the draw will take place just after. The lucky winner ends up/rides away on the Ducati Monster 600 labeled bicycle. Easy.

For the technically minded folk who are into their human powered bikes, specifications for the Bianchi-made bicycle can be found here.

Stay tuned for more updates and check out Ducatist.

          Ducati Diavel

Hey, what’s going on guys? So, it’s been called the Vyper, Mega Monster and Project 0803 by American publications, but the Ducati’s new muscle bike will ultimately be called the Diavel. I know what you are thinking, did they just misspell Diablo?

Ducati has registered Diavel for everything from clothing to watches and even cosmetics and toys. I guess they are aiming to cash in on the bikes’ appearance with a full range of accessories and memorabilia right from the start.

After a bit of research, we found that Diavel does, in fact, mean devil, although it’s from the Bolognese dialect used in the region around Ducati’s factory.

What do you think of the name Diavel? Let us know at Ducatist.
