Here is the description of what you will be getting:

Megan Fox’s hero black leather motorcycle costume worn as “Mikaela Banes” from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. (Paramount, 2009) Complete costume including black leather jacket and matching pants, black leather boots, and the white cotton strapless dress that was worn underneath. Worn by Megan Fox as “Mikaela Banes” as she arrives at the Witwicky house and then quickly changes out of it to surprise Sam. Includes original costumer’s tags and a certificate of authenticity from Bay Films/Paramount Pictures.

The auctioneers Profiles in History have put an estimate on the suit, which includes a pair of shorts and a tank top, of $3000 to $5000.

Also in the memorabilia sale is a 17-foot tall Bumblebee robot (disassembled) and around 100 other costumes and props from the Transformers movie franchise.

If you fancy slipping into Megan’s old tank top and hot pants (hey, I don’t wanna know! -Ed) or spending some quality garage time assembling a large yellow robot, you can bid for them here.

Good luck!

Hey guys, check out the new Ducati Hypermotard 796, with an all-new engine and a lighter, lower chassis.

    Photobucket

Ducati says the air-cooled two-valve v-twin is an all new engine, though in reality the 81bhp engine borrows heavily from the 1100cc and the 695cc engines used elsewhere in Ducati’s range.

Ducati also describes the engine as smooth and flexible, hinting that the engine’s character is softer than the more aggressive Hypermotard 1100. Either way, can’t wait to ride one!

Magdeburg / Pittsburgh- Schuberth GmbH, the German producer of high-end head protection and Cardo Systems Inc., the Pittsburgh based market leader in Bluetooth(c) communication systems for motorcycle helmets (scala rider), announced the signing of a cooperation agreement, according to which Cardo will design and manufacture a unique communication and entertainment system for the Schuberth C3, C2 and Concept motorcycle flip-up helmets. The new and patented system which can be easily adapted to these helmets will be launched in 2009.

Besides connectivity with mobile phones, bike-to-bike intercom between up to 3 rider and wireless receipt of stereo music from compatible MP3 players, no further technical information about the system was provided. At this point also the name of the new system is still being kept confidential. Schuberth’s executives described their new system not only technologically as cutting edge, but also as a radically new approach in retrofitting communication systems to motorcycle helmets, blurring the line between built-in headsets and after-market solutions. The new system will be offered in the first move for Schuberth flip-up helmets and can be installed within minutes by any end-user. Schuberth plans to present the system this year, possibly at the EICMA motorcycle trade show in Milan, Italy.

Marcel Lejeune, CEO of Schuberth GmbH remarked: “Our collaboration with Cardo is meant to equip the world’s finest motorcycle helmets with the best available communication and entertainment system. The new system represents the synthesis between our unrelenting pursuit of safety, intuitive ergonomics and cutting-edge technology. This product will meet an important customer demand for a smart and mature all-round solution to complement our premium helmets”.

Dr. Abraham Glezerman, Chairman of Cardo Systems added: “Working with Schuberth gives us a welcome opportunity to provide a high-end solution to a sophisticated clientele that is used to very high standards. Everything we have learned in years of research, development and market requirements will be brought to bear in the Schuberth communication system.”

Hey guys, while surfing the Internet for more tasty bits for my SR50, I came across this juicy tidbit. This low-resolution leaked picture reveals the finished RSV4-R – the cheaper (I believe less expensive is the proper term -Ed) version of the WSB homologation RSV4 Factory.

Shown here in the white color option, black is also known to be the second color option.

The R-model loses the Ohlins suspension and carbon-fiber trim of the Factory model, but keeps the monobloc Brembo calipers and adjustable chassis.

Aprilia is officially revealing the RSV4-R later this week. Check back here for the first pictures.
