What’s up guys? AGV is set to unveil one of the greatest personalized products to ever become available to the paying public, when they announce the unveiling of a website where you can put your face on the Rossi Mugello helmet, and then buy it!

The eight-time World Champion donned one of the most iconic helmets of recent times for last year’s Italian Grand Prix with his own face on the top of the lid.

According to Rossi, the design depicted “my expression when I bend into the San Donato curve after the straightaway in Mugello at over 300 km/h!”

And now you can have your very own expression on the top of the same design. A limited run of AGV GP Tech Rossi Face helmets sold out worldwide within days when it became available last November, but as of March 3 you’ll be able to design your own version with your face or anything you want on the top.

It’s really simple. Just go to the website or follow the directions from the Dainese and AGV websites as of March 3 and you’ll be taken to a specially created mini-site.

From there you’ll be taken through a step-by-step guide to create your helmet, and when you’re happy with the final design, you can hit a buy button.

Helmets will be made in Italy at the AGV productive unit in Padova, the same place where Rossi’s GP Tech helmets are hand made, and will arrive with the customer within eight weeks of the order being placed.

This unique concept was inspired by the MotoDirect team (AGV and Dainese UK distributor) who, after seeing Vale’s helmet in the AGV service truck at the Donnington Moto GP, cut and pasted Jonny Towers (MotoDirect sales director) face onto a photo of Vale’s helmet.

AGV was so impressed they made a one-off GP Tech with Jonny’s face on and presented it to him at the 2009 AGV range launch in Alessandria, Italy.

Around the same time of the mini-site launch, an arcade videogame will allow anyone who participates in the design of their own ‘Face’ helmet to challenge Valentino Rossi using Facebook.

Wearing virtual versions of their own personalized helmets, Valentino Rossi’s fans can try to beat the Doctor’s time on the Mugello track and win one of the fantastic prizes offered by AGV.

Last but not least, Dainese and AGV will auction off Valentino’s original helmet for charity in March on eBay.

What’s up guys! Today I am installing flushmount turn signals from British Customs for the Daytona 675. Check out the video!

These give the Daytona a much needed cosmetic upgrade. The flushmounts are black too so it really just fades into the fairing. That is until you turn on the signals. Top notch people! I highly recommend them for any bike. Till next time guys, peace…

      Big Matt

Hello everyone! My name is Matt and I am a new staff writer here at Inline Performance Magazine. I am very excited to be a part of this organization and I can’t wait to get started! I currently work as a Sales and Parts Specialist for Road Rider Motorcycle Accessories in San Jose, CA. So if you are in the South Bay stop by and say hello!

My current bike is a 2000 Honda CBR 929RR. It is currently a project bike as I bought it from a friend after he couldn’t hold a wheelie, haha! It’s all good though, as I still ride the bike everyday rain or shine, in all the back roads of the Santa Cruz Mountains.

So far the mods it has are, a Power Commander III which has been mapped and dyno’d to 130 WHP, a highmount Scorpion exhaust, steel braided front and rear brake lines, a Cbr 954rr swing arm and 954 front forks. It also has an integrated taillight as well as flush mount turn signals. The frame and seats were also painted bright orange to help with viability.

I am currently working towards turning it into a track bike, as opposed to the daily commuter it is currently workhorsing as. Future mods will include a new exhaust system, frame sliders, track plastics (as well as getting the street plastics painted), new sub frame, new engine casings, steering damper, and some shiny new wheels.

Well that’s all for now, stay tuned and ride safely everyone!

Happy February everyone! It’s difficult to grasp just how time flies nowadays. Heck, I am still dating my checks 2008!

I was doing some surfing on the internet and came across a site that i thought you guys would be interested in. It is called PicClick eBay, the eBay Visual Shopping Experience. It has been featured on Killer Startups, Auction Bytes, and StartUpSD to name a few as an innovative site.

PicClick basically lists all the auctions currently on eBay and pulls the picture from each auction for you to browse. Hence the the phrase, “Visual Shopping Experience.” Of course, I featured it here so we can easily browse motorcycle parts and accessories, but you can browse any category eBay has, such as used auto parts for sale, sporting goods, or even real estate. The site really cuts down on browsing time.

For those of you who are interested, PicClick also has an affiliate program that allows you to keep
100% of all earnings! (They only make money if that user refers a friend). Infinite cookie, earnings are shared forever!

That’s it for me today folks! Back to our regularly scheduled program tomorrow!

          Motorcycles Included in Stimulus Bill

The economic stimulus bill signed by President Barack Obama provides tax credits on the purchase of new motorcycles.

Lobbying from Industry groups and other stakeholders such as the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) convinced lawmakers to include motorcycles as “qualified vehicles” in Section 1008 of the legislation. Earlier versions of the bill excluded motorcycles while providing tax credits on the purchase of cars and light trucks under $49,500.

“This inclusive and equitable solution will provide much-needed relief to riders, as well as to those who sell motorcycles,” says Ed Moreland, AMA vice president for government relations. “When it appeared that motorcycles were going to be overlooked in this bill, the AMA and the Association’s members, along with Harley-Davidson and others, took our case straight to Capitol Hill and persuaded lawmakers that this was the right decision.”

Moreland wrote a letter to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) arguing that motorcycle riders are just as likely to be affected by the economic downturn as consumers of cars and trucks.

“We want to thank all motorcyclists who took the time to contact their elected officials,” says Moreland. “This victory is particularly gratifying because it represents a community-wide effort to elevate motorcycles as a recognized and viable means of transportation in America. Motorcycles are vital to the reduction of traffic congestion, provide efficient use of limited parking, have far less impact on our roads and bridges, and contribute significantly to our nation’s efforts to consume less fuel. Our success today clearly indicates that our legislators are listening.”
