What’s up guys? Seeing how great the carbon fiber tail piece came out, I decided to contact another carbon fiber parts supplier, MDI Performance. They were kind enough to send over a carbon fiber front fairing for us to install. Check it out!

So, unfortunately it did not fit. Well, I could probably install it without the bottom plastic piece, but then the dirt will get all up underneath the fairing. So, stay tuned. I will report back after contacting the company.

Kawasaki Factory and Attack Teams Merge

I was just having a discussion with Alex about our current world economic situation and how it was a bold but good move for Kawasaki to pull out of MototGP, when suddenly they hit us with this! Kawasaki is merging its AMA road racing teams to compete in the AMA Daytona Sportbike class.

The manufacturer announced it is combining its factory team with the Attack Kawasaki team which finished one-two in the 2007 and 2008 Daytona 200 races. For 2009, Kawasaki will focus entirely on the Daytona Sportbike class starting with the March 6 Daytona 200.

“Our approach to winning is the same,” says Mike Preston, Kawasaki road racing manager. “We’re going into the 2009 season with the Monster Energy Attack Kawasaki team that will continue to place our best racers and machines on top of the box.”

Roger Hayden will ride for the combined Monster Energy Attack Kawasaki team on the 2009 Ninja ZX-6R. Hayden will be joined by a second rider to be named later.

Hayden raced for Kawasaki’s factory team in 2008 with three-time AMA champion Jamie Hacking. Steve Rapp and Chaz Davies raced for Attack Kawasaki in 2008.

          Sidi Vertebra Racing Boots

How’s it going guys? Today I am going to do a quick review on the boots I’m currently wearing, the Sidi Vertebra II Boots. Check it out.

As you saw in the video, I was most impressed with the Vertebra system is the basis of the support structure, making the boot a highly-articulated piece of technology. Each vertebra moves independently. The Vertebra system allows enhanced performance and, at the same time, also forms a shield protecting the back part of the leg. It has been specially modified to apply Sidi’s new Ankle Support System

The Ankle Support System (A.S.S. lol!) is another high-tech riding protection developed and patented by SIDI. The A.S.S. has been designed to support the ankle during torsion or impact, without, however, reducing the boot’s flexibility or comfort. It is produced in chrome-reinforced thermoplastic resin, also used in the helmet industry because of its resistance and protective qualities.

The shin deflector is the only replaceable deflector available in racing today. It is available in carbon or chrome-reinforced thermoplastic resin. One thing I have to mention however, is don’t overtighten the race boot bolts, it will crack the plastic. Also, put some loctite on the end of those bolts.
