    TPO Fender Eliminator – Review

One of the most common mods for a sportbike is a fender eliminator. For the Ducati 848, there are plenty of companies out there that offer one, but today we will be looking at the fender eliminator made by TPO Parts.

The TPO “Stealth License Plate Bracket” is a direct replacement to the stock bracket. Not only does it get rid of the clutter of the stock bracket, the TPO bracket is also much lighter and gives a cleaner look to the rear. This bracket is made from 100% 6061-T6 aluminum, which is laser cut and welded. In addition, the central tube offers a stronger design than stock. This bracket is also very heat resistant and will not deform from the heat of the exhaust. The black coating provides corrosion resistance as well as a cleaner look.

To keep your stock turn signals with the TPO bracket, TPO offers turn signal brackets as well. The brackets are also made from aluminum and coated black. These brackets bolt on to the TPO bracket and allow you to have a narrow or a wide style. The narrow style has the turn signals recessed more, while the wide style has the turn signals protruding out more. The picture below is the wide style.

Headlight Modification – Both lights on w/ High-Beam

      IPM

Wayne Stuart aka SpeedKills comes to us from BuellBoards.com, the UnOfficial Buell Motorcycle Forum, and rides a 2005 Buell XB9SX.

Are you looking for a way to have both headlights of your motorcycle on instead of only one? Why settle for only one on for low beam and the other for high beam? Tired of always being told by cagers that you have a light out??

Well, this modification will have one light on for your low beam, and BOTH lights on when running the high beam.

      TIME TO COMPLETE:
      15 minutes

      COST: $0.00

STEP 1. Remove your windshield from the headlight bucket of the bike.

STEP 2. Find the socket for the headlight harness. It’s white and has 4 wires in it: black, yellow, white, orange.

      null

STEP 3. Unplug the socket (you will be working on the male end of the socket).

        GooDy

Hi guys and gals!! My name is GooDy. It’s an honor to join the IPM team — thanks to all the staff members for the warm welcome. So.. let me introduce myself a little bit. By day, I’m an importer; by night, I’m a street rider. I have brand new 2007 Suzuki Gsxr1000 that is all stock (for now) and below is a picture of my baby in the garage. I have a lot of modification ideas in my head right now and I’ll be more than happy to share them with you as they’re implemented.

I’ve ridden most of the new liters bikes but I didn’t feel comfortable on most of them. From my experience, the 2007 Kawasaki Zx10r gives a lot of top end but is heavy and ugly; the 2007 Honda Cbr1000rr gives the strongest midrange but is a bit dated, and the 2007 Yamaha R1 gives the least power and bring nothing new to the table. The Gixxer was the obvious choice.

The folks at TheCarConnection.com Magazine ordered yet another review of their website from us, and we are here to deliver again! I guess they were impressed by the shear number of readers we bring to their website! As you may remember, this site serves as a classifieds for used automobiles.

The folks over at TheCarConnection have spruced up their website since our last review. And not to worry, it’s for the better! Some new features that you immediately can see are the Spy Shots of new upcoming and concept cars, and the vehicle review and Featured Rides section.

Now, instead of offering vehicles in only two states, the search function lets you input your zip code along with your vehicle search. Doing a search yields another questionnaire that let’s you further narrow down your vehicle and location. Before, you could only search used vehicles that private sellers post up. Now, you can get access to a pool of new cars and new car prices.

And last but not least, they have a Breaking Car Reviews and News RSS Feed on the bottom right hand corner, much like the one we offer. Too bad they don’t sell motorcycles. Maybe their next expansion can include a TheMotorcycleConnection? In any case, for now we will have to make due with the new TheCarConnection, which ain’t too shabby!
