Here we are, at that time of the summer again: Motorcycle Groundhog Day. The new 2008 bikes are starting to poke their heads out of the ground. The younger, faster, stronger bikes are arriving to replace their old, decrepit, two-tear-old counterparts. Wait a minute. Is that right?

A sportbike becomes obsolete in just two short years? This is a trend I have been noticing not just in the motorcycle world. We have become a “throw away” nation.

Just the other day, I read an article in the local paper about restaurant owners calling for a ban on bottled water. It’s true! Apparently we are producing massive amounts of garbage with those plastic containers our drinking water comes in.
