I was so impressed with the Devil Exhaust from my Cbr that I decided to give them another try. This time, I still stuck with the Magnum series, and carbon fiber can, but got a highmount:

Termignoni Exhaust

What’s up guys? Check it out! Check it out! I have a new modification for the Cbr one thou RR today. I know, I know, Termignoni? This ain’t a Yamaha…

Termignoni

The Devil Exhaust is crazy deep and loud: exactly how I like my exhausts to sound. However, some of my neighbors have complained about the noise since I sometimes come home late at night (or early in the morning, whichever way you want to look at it).

So I’m trying out this Termignoni slip on in titanium. Definitely higher quality than the Devil in terms of welding and material quality, but the sound is not as satisfying.

What pissed me off the most was the Termignoni logo on the can. It’s friggin’ sticker for Pete’s sake! With the amount they charge for their products, the least they could do was give it a decent badge!

In addition to the new end can, I also installed an integrated tail light from the Dr. X Hotswap program.

Termignoni

It’s actually pretty nifty. There are numerous programmable LED flashing combinations to choose from. There is a switch that I mounted on the side of my fairing that allows me to shut off the lights to the bike altogether. Great, er get away tool…

I’ll bet that feature comes in pretty handle when outrunning cops at night. I can also make it flash red and blue, just like the cops. Shhh…. Muahahaha!

The installation was a bit more tricky than standard plug and play integrated turn signal tail lights out there. but then again, none of those look this good. There are almost an infinite amount of color combination and sequences to choose from. You will also have to drill into your fairings or mount the switch somewhere on your bike that is accessible while you are riding.

Till next time guys, stay tuned for more updates!

WTF!?!

I forgot to mention that I traded in my Cbr at Golden Gate Cycles of San Francisco. Yes, I got ripped off there before when I purchased my first bike (over $15,000.00 for 600cc?!?), but I thought I would give them another shot due to their damn good location here in the city. So today I received a statement from both financing companies for my Cbr and Gsxr. Apparently, the Finance Manager at Golden Gate Cycles made a mistake when writing down the payoff amount on the Cbr, and didn’t pay it off!

So, long story short, I still owe the full amount on my Cbr, the entire amount of the new Gsxr, and lost the down payment amount on the Gsxr.

I first saw it at the show and wasn’t impressed last year but with all the positive reviews, and owning a Suzuki as a first sportbike, I couldn’t resist. I traded the Cbr in today for the brand new 2005 Suzuki Gsxr1000.
The first ride was a blast! Not as “safe” feeling as the Honda, but definitely packs a great punch! Suzuki’s are by far the torquiest of the inline fours.
Here are some photos:
